When you’ve had enough sunshine for one afternoon or are searching for the perfect spot to kickstart your day, the cafes in Nha Trang are here to delight!

You’ll notice that the cafe scene follows your typical Vietnamese style of cafe. What this means is that cafes aren’t so much like the type you find in countries such as Australia, the UK, and the USA. Instead, cafes in Nha Trang are more like cute spots for a cup of tea or a coffee refuel. The cafes usually sell some light bites to eat, unless they are seeking a more “Western” type vibe.

You’ll notice many of the cafes on this list match this, however, there are a few places around the town that do the whole breakfast/brunch vibe. If you’re looking for a proper sit-down meal, we have you covered with our ultimate guide to the best restaurants in Nha Trang.

As someone who always appreciates aesthetically pleasing anything, my list of the best Nha Trang cafes ticks this box (I’m a sucker for a photogenic space).

1. Ola Cafe: Mexicana-inspired

Okay, real talk now … Are we in Nha Trang or Mexico

Not only because of its name, which means “hi” in Spanish (yes, I know it’s actually ‘hola’), but the whole vibe of Ola Cafe feels very Latin American

Whatever the case may be, I love this cafe from the on-set, and the reddish pink-clad entranceway makes one very curious to enter inside. This aesthetic carries throughout the entire cafe, and there are so many cool spaces and corners within. Tropicana plants and florals in abundance add the finishing touches.

They serve coffees, seasonal teas (try the summertime grape jasmine tea with white pearls), and cakes, but no heavy meals.

You’ll find this spot is truly an influencers’ paradise, and many guests arrive just for the photos.

2. Yen Coffee n More: For the coffee snobs

Earthy, minimalist and another one of the cafes in Nha Trang which is full of tropical plants, Yen Coffee n More is a vibe!

Picture geometric mirrors lining pathways, tons of wood, and natural elements, and I’m in love with the plaster-indented wall decor made to resemble the moon (which it totally does).

There’s covered outdoor seating, which gives the space an open-plan sort of feel and makes it great for any sort of weather.

Order their coconut coffee topped with crispy coconut chips (these yummy snacks are a specialty of Bến Tre Province, Vietnam’s coconut capital, but they are also popular around Nha Trang). Or opt for the whipped Vietnamese coffee instead.

This Nha Trang cafe doesn’t do any full-on meals, so don’t come here with lunch expectations. for that, you’ll need to read our Nha Trang restaurant guide. Rather, I love this cafe as a cute pit stop in between sightseeing or beach-hopping.

3. Ume Cafe by Ola: Contemporary Vietnamese magic

Ume Cafe is wonderfully romantic but in a Vietnamese sort of way. Cue the flower bushes…

With East Asian finishings and decor, you feel the very essence of this Nha Trang cafe as soon as you arrive and are greeted by a dancing dragon mural at the front gate.

Ume Cafe is operated by Ola Cafe (and you can kind of tell by the aesthetic, this one is just more about the oriental flair). Walls are full of Vietnamese art and outside gigantic Chinese lanterns float in the air, blending traditional Vietnamese culture with the modern.

Don’t be surprised if you see many locals dressed up and taking pictures (with props they’ve brought along for the shoot).

Munch on baked goods like Chinese egg tarts (basically a Portuguese pastel de nata) and cakes, and drinks-wise there’s coffee, teas, and juices.

4. Artisan Cafe & Eatery: A brunch wonderland

I’m totally guilty of being part of the big brunch gang. For some reason, I’m never super hungry first thing in the day, nor a massive fan of eggs, so brunch for me is the ultimate meal!

Artisan Cafe & Eatery’s interiors are really magical, and wandering inside, you’re engulfed by floating mist over what feels like a fairy pathway. The food is trendy; the drinks match.

If you’re traveling through Nha Trang on a Wednesday, don’t miss out on ‘Burger Day’ served on Artisan’s homemade brioche bun.

The cafe hosts special evenings some days of the week — check their socials to stay updated — like wine evenings, sampling delicious vino from my home country, South Africa.

6. Léhem Café by Acoustic: Live shows and local chow

We traveled to Mexico earlier, and now it’s time to take you to France, Paris more specifically.

Modeled after a European-style cafe/restaurant, Léhem Café by Acoustic makes you feel like you’re sitting inside a French bistro. Think moody interiors, dark green suede curtains with tassels, photo frames decorating the walls, and a piano set up amidst it all.

As the name of this Nha Trang cafe hints, live music is a big hit at this spot. You’ll also find all sorts of other artistic and theatrical endeavors, like mini art exhibitions.

But there’s also a wonderful outdoor area if you’re keen to sit in the sunshine, where the bar operates from and tall trees cower over you.

And while it might be European-inspired, the menu is a celebration of Vietnamese, like massive bowls of pho, other soups, and hearty local classics like pork, rice, and ground pork omelet (trứng chiên) plates.

7. Sweet Secret: For a fab western breakfast

Are you on the hunt for raw, vegan, vegetarian, and healthy meal options

One of the loveliest cafes in Nha Trang for families, Sweet Secret offers patrons a diverse menu, and is especially great for breakfast.

Smashed avo toasts, giant omelets topped with crispy bacon, shakshouka, and granola smoothie bowls are examples of some of the menu items. Oh, and you’ll want to leave room for the carrot cake!

The focus here is definitely on the food. However, I do love how the interiors have a colorful, slightly boho feel.

8. GÁC de.art: A lovely working space

Any digital nomads traveling through the city and looking for a cafe in Nha Trang to work at for a couple of hours?

Utterly serene and boasting an impressive drinks/coffee menu, GÁC de.art is a quiet reprieve. The soft interiors are splashed in shades of beige and nude, with flowers all over the show — they also sell flowers here.

And I love the attention to detail, even if it does have this minimalist-esque feel to it, like crescent moon-shaped mirrors, French posters, and paper lanterns.

You’re blessed with a whole variety of Matcha blends (ceremony included), as well as bakery-style bites like croissants and popular cakes that locals love, such as baked cheesecake.

9. Sol Coffee & Desserts: We’re here for the sweet treats

I found myself utterly intrigued by Sol Coffee & Desserts for multiple reasons.

At first glance, this cafe in Nha Trang reminds me of the traditional Korean hanok buildings (recognizable for their slanted roof tiles, use of natural materials, and wooden elements). This makes sense as Koreans love Nha Trang, not to mention Korea’s capital city is Seoul

But then again, ‘sol’ also refers to the sunshine and is a play-on-words for “soul.”

In my opinion, this spot is a fusion of all of the above (soulful, sunny, and Korean-inspired); and I am all about it!

There’s indoor and outdoor seating, and the cafe specializes in coffee, tea, cakes and ice-cream. That’s another thing Koreans love, dessert (order the croffle; a cross between a croissant and waffle), especially ice-cream, at any time of year.
