Blessed with a beachfront-meets-urban cityscape, the restaurant scene in Pattaya sets itself apart with location, views, and, of course, great food.
Whether you’re visiting as part of a day trip, an in-betweener pitstop en route to one of its neighbor islands, such as Ko Larn or Ko Samet, or have chosen to spend a few days here exploring the best things to do in Pattaya (like visiting Thailand’s biggest botanical garden — which is a.m.a.z.i.n.g), you’re of course going to need to replenish and refuel, and by that, I mean eat!
From fine dining options to places that transport you to the coastline of Italia to rooftop restaurants with city skyline vistas, here are 10 of the best restaurants in Pattaya to wine and dine.

1. The Lunar Beach House: Try the squid-ink seafood pasta!
Bright beach-y views, vibes, and an aesthetically-pleasing, chic set-up; The Lunar Beach House is my kind of place.
Cane and rattan chairs with blue pin-stripe cushions decorate the space alongside low-hanging, Balinese-style lampshades. Or, chill out on the balcony’s bean bags around low tables with the only thing separating you and the ocean being a thin glass wall. But there are plenty of IG-worthy spaces all around.

Not only pretty-looking, but this restaurant delivers on the food and drinks, too. It’s quite common in the city to find a gorgeous-looking place to eat, but the food isn’t up to par, and instead, it’s more of a focal point for influencers. It’s the total opposite here, making it one of my personal favorites of the best restaurants in Pattaya.
2. Yítóng Chinese Restaurant & Sky Bar: Sweeping rooftop views and authentic chow
Modern and refreshing, Yítóng Chinese Restaurant & Sky Bar is far from your old-school Chinese restaurant. It’s one of the newest kids on the culinary block. Boasting contemporary interiors, one of its standout features has to be the sweeping vistas over the city. This is especially magical if you’re checking in for dinnertime, as Pattaya literally sparkles below you. But it makes sense really, as Yítóng is located on the top floor of the Meliá Pattaya Hotel.
Book a table, or ask for a chair around the stylish central sky bar — enjoying a quality fancy-schmancy cocktail before or after your meal. I love that, no matter where you’re seated, the panoramic snapshots are never far from site. If you’re after a dining spot with a scenic backdrop, it’s one of the best restaurants in Pattaya for it.

Also at the Melia is another on-site restaurant (open for brekkie, lunch, and dinner), Sanehh Sarae. Serving you authentic Thai, relax between tall palm fronds in an outdoor Spanish-esque courtyard space. This is more of a casual option.
The Meliá Pattaya Hotel opened in Pattaya in February 2025, and is already one of the best openings for 2025 on the local hospitality scene, defining refined chic. Yítóng Chinese Restaurant & Sky Bar hasn’t officially opened just yet, but will be very soon! We say watch this space; we’re expecting big things. Part of the iconic Melia group, we know it won’t disappoint. I’m excited for this one...
3. Jasmin’s Café: Fab food at any time of day
From the onset, you might mistake Jasmin’s Café for a casual, boho-kinda restaurant, where you know you’re going to find an excellent Western-style brekkie or brunch. While that much IS true, it’s also an incredible spot for a local Thai meal, which they do really, really well at that!
It is open from 10 am until 10 pm (the last food order is at 9:30 pm), so you can’t go wrong with pretty much anything on its menu. For example, they serve a mean Full English vibe, but the tom yum is equally excellent. Also, try the toog tong or “Thai money bags,” i.e., crispy wonton parcels, and the classic papaya salad.

I’ve got a mega sweet tooth over here, so mango sticky rice or coconut ice cream topped with fresh mango is a must for me! They also do delish iced coffee and fresh fruit smoothies, or an iced cold beer.
4. Cafe Des Amis: 5-Course French
If you’re here with your other half and are looking for the best restaurants in Pattaya for date night, we highly recommend Cafe Des Amis. Considered one of the city’s top fine dining spots, most of the menu is French-inspired, though there are other dishes from various parts of Europe, like Sicily.
Interiors are a combination of European and Thai — and feel a bit like a classic fancy restaurant.

Treat yourselves to the Chef’s Tasting Menu, with dishes like duck ravioli and goose foie gras. There’s also another set menu, a full-on vegetarian menu, or a la carte options, including a selection of oysters, crab, and caviar (you’ll find me stuck here). The rest of the menu is quite extensive, and get this, they even offer patrons reading glasses if you need them, ‘cause, you know, it’s the small touches that count!
Bon appetit!
5. Lucus Restaurant: Casual fine dining
Don’t you just love a restaurant that has its very own secret garden?! Surprisingly, this isn’t an uncommon feature across Southeast Asia, but it’s not the only part of Lucus Restaurant that I love. Green is my favorite color, and the color palette and naturistic theme are carried throughout the restaurant, but in a classy, upmarket sort of way.
Lush plants here and there — even the wallpaper is a tropical sensation. I also LOVE the marbled staircase and green balustrade.

Food-wise, it’s predominantly Mediterranean. If there’s one type of cuisine I had to choose to live on forever, it would be Mediterranean. Well, it’s a toss-up between that and Thai food, actually. They make their own handmade pasta, and the charcuterie board is a non-negotiable!
P.S. Take advantage of the all-day breakfast menu. Or if you’re here later on, they shake up some fab cocktails.
6. Horizon Rooftop Restaurant & Bar: For some of the best views in Pattaya
Aptly named Horizon Rooftop Restaurant & Bar, lap up stunning panoramas that stretch into the horizon from the 34th floor of the Hilton Hotel.
As one can imagine, the sunset scenery from up here is a gasp-a-moment, especially when it’s a clear day and the city is showing off in all shades of pink and purples around dusk. It’s a high roller from the best restaurants in Pattaya when it comes to views!

It’s a perfecttt spot for an aperitivo (choose a bunch of bites like a charcuterie for two, homemade baba ganoush, and salt and pepper squid with wasabi mayonnaise — which goes down a treat with a glass of fine bubbly).
Sit around the infinity bar, or if you’re here for a whole sit-down affair, there’s both indoor and outdoor seating. On the main menu are salads, soups, and an array of main courses, including lobster or lamb shank, then there are also separate meat and seafood grills!
7. Pippa Restaurant: Another great rooftop restaurant
I think you’ll find yourself as equally impressed with the dining scene in Pattaya as we were! For a Thai city (that’s not Bangkok), there really is a good number of restaurants boasting skyscraping views. Another case in point: Pippa Restaurant — one of the best restaurants in Pattaya for sunset lovers, romantics, and lovers.
Upscale (pun intended, located on 5-star Mytt Hotel’s 19th floor), expect attention to detail when it comes to food presentation, and a menu full of quality ingredients. Cocktails are top-notch, too!

Sit outside on the patio, where the molten ocean gazes back at you, or indoors under a forestry of hanging plants.
8. The Moment Pattaya: Poolside / on the beach
I think it’s safe to say that The Moment is inspired by the coastline of Italy, from its striped umbrellas that you see along the Amalfi to the Naples-style pizza (which is renowned for its thin base and puffy crust).
Literally right on the beach, sit comfortably on sofa seating in front of the beach’s rock pools, shaded by the umbrellas, or enjoy a cocktail and meal around the pool, followed by a dip in it afterward.

On Friday and Saturday evenings, there are quintessential Thai fire dancing/ fire shows, and on Friday nights, live music. It’s situated on Wong Amat Beach.
9. Mae Pong Sri: For local pork offal soup
In destinations like Thailand, often the best meals are found at the most unassuming places. Mae Pong Sri is incomparable among the best restaurants in Pattaya for a local Thai pork offal soup, boiled with star gooseberry leaves, i.e., sweet leaf bush — a common ingredient used in Thai food for curries, soups, stir-frys, and salads.

Of course, if eating offal doesn’t tickle your fancy — hey it’s not for everyone — they also serve other delish street-food style meals. Plus, it’s affordable (winner, winner, chicken, I mean, pork, dinner!).
FYI: It’s listed by the Michelin Guide, and for this reason, often quite busy!
10. Rimpa Lapin: Right on a beach cliff
Okay, I have to admit. Rimpa Lapin can have mixed reviews. Some praise it for the food and service, others complain that it’s overpriced.
However, this long-favorite has to have a place on the list of best restaurants in Pattaya purely for its cliffside location perched on the ocean. It’s even appeared in TV shows…And really, it is a beautiful locale! Plus, it feels very “tropical Thailand-y,” like a treehouse, and you could almost picture being on an island, so we gotta give it props!

The menu is a combination of seafood, Thai, and some Western vibes, but honestly, I’d say go for the Thai food. Try the soft-shell crab or pineapple rice.
